Comparing flickr and webshot
After looking at both of these websites I chose flickr. I have to admit that it was mostly because someone else was already using it and liked it. It also seemed to be a little bit more user friendly.

geocaching
Today we experienced geocaching for the first time. It was great! Six of us piled into the van and drove to the site. It was fun to have a navigator and talk while I drove. When we reached Oaklawn park where the cache was located, we used our gps to locate the exact spot. Our navigator read off the numbers while the rest of us followed along (we all had a gps but not all of them were working). After we found the cache, we signed the notebook, took our picture and left. It was great. We now have great ideas to do this with future students.

Co-teaching fulfilling assignments
As a Special Education teacher involved in co-teaching this year, I would like to try using blogs to communicate back and forth with the many general education teachers I teach with. We don't always have time to share information together in a sit-down face to face meeting. We can gather ideas and share them through blogs and then when we do get together we can already have the step of "brainstorming" done.
Blogging can also be used for the sharing of assignments to students who are absent from school. I can post assignments and my students can locate them on my blog through their home computer to do their assignment. Assignments are posted and brought in when students return.
